Absolutely not. Seeking counselling is a courageous and proactive step towards taking care of your mental and emotional well-being. It shows strength and self-awareness. At Maple Counselling, I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and support you in making positive changes. I'm here to support you every step of the way.
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of counselling. However, there are exceptions, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. We will discuss these exceptions in detail during our initial session.
The initial 30-minute telephone appointment is free of charge, allowing you to get a feel for how I work and ask any questions. It also helps me ensure I can assist with your needs. If we decide to work together, each therapy session typically lasts 50 minutes. This duration allows us to address issues effectively and work towards positive outcomes. I am committed to providing quality therapy experiences in a safe and supportive space. We will regularly review our work to ensure you are getting what you need, whether it's short-term or long-term counselling.
Each 50-minute session costs £55. I offer a reduced rate of £40 for trainee counsellors, blue light workers, and full-time students. Please commit to being on time and make cancellations 24 hours in advance; otherwise, payment is expected in full. Payments can be made by bank transfer before the session or in cash at the session.
To schedule a counselling session, email me at emma@maplecounselling.co.uk, call 07581 382725, or fill out the enquiry form on the contact page. I'll reach out to arrange a convenient time for us to meet and discuss how we can work together.
